About Kate Peters-Phillips DSFH HPD AfSFH MNCH (Reg)

I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. I qualified from The Clifton Practice, Bristol, a recognised centre of excellence for hypnotherapy. I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). I attend regular supervision and continuing professional development to keep completely up to date. I have also got a Diploma in Medical Hypnotherapy. This has provided me with additional skills and training to help people with needle phobias, emetophobia (fear of being sick), chronic illness including helping people having chemotherapy, palliative care and pain management. I am fully insured and hold a recent enhanced DBS certificate to work with adults and children.

I worked for a long time in financial services. I gained a lot of experience and knowledge by working in a corporate retail and head office environment where delivery to timescales on projects and building and maintaining excellent relationships was paramount. Whilst I enjoyed this work I understand how the pressure and expectations from this environment can prove stressful. I left to spend time with my family and reassess where my passion lies. On occasions in my life I have suffered with anxiety and depression so this has fuelled my desire to help others who also suffer. I then discovered Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. I learned how we can use this therapeutic tool to help retrain our brains to free us from unwanted thoughts and behaviours and find positive solutions in a relatively short time. I now get immense satisfaction from helping people change their lives for the better.
